Thanks for the shout out today, Jenny! I think October was my official 2 year Get Salty anniversary! šŸŽ‰ I had cardio queen noodle arms before GS and didnā€™t even own weights over 10lbs. Now I have 40s. I still love cardio and do old school step aerobics once or twice a week (laugh all you want, itā€™s fun and I have no shame!) but I always keep up with the main strength and HIIT workouts of each challenge.

Great leg day today. Iā€™m already sore.

RDL with one leg on the bench is my favorite!Ā

I just saw this post and my heart goes out to you, Tabitha. Being a caregiver is a special kind of chronic stress that beats your nervous system to hell. Give yourself grace. I have been caring for an autistic child who had very high support needs for most of her life and it is just now starting to get a little easier as she enters adolescence. This is what I wish someone had told me ten years ago:Ā  Don't fall into the trap of giving 100% of yourself away to your family. I know 24/7 caring takes almost all your strength, but keep something for you if you can. Whether it is working out here or maintaining a hobby. I know how mental load can feel overwhelming. Get on here (or with friends) and vent. Voicing your stress really does help you feel validated. Don't get overwhelmed looking too far ahead and wondering how you will keep going. Just focus on getting through one month at a time and soon you will adapt and see how strong you are! Women are so much stronger than we believe.

Jenny FisherĀ after seeing your massive shoe collection I need some recommendations! I have been doing HIIT in my running shoes recently because my older cross trainers fell apart and it sucks. They stopped making my old shoes and now I don't know what to buy! What would you recommend as a good cross trainer? Something I can use for HIIT, but also lift days when I don't want to do it barefoot. Everyone else feel free to chime in, too! Thank you!

Seriously humbled by some tiny 4lb weights at the end of week 8 chest/shoulders. šŸ˜‘I was totally cooked before we even started that round.
