Jenny,
Is there a specific creatine you suggest??
My recent meals: commonality is high protein (30-60 g) and high fiber, only whole ingredients, zero added sugar. These are all under 700 calories. Eat smart, not restrictive 🩷
(Steak & mushrooms with roasted potatoes, carrots, and beets; Langostino lobster over leftover pan seared green beans, bone broth farro and bok choy; pan seared salmon over farro and green beans; seafood pasta with homemade tomato basil sauce and 1 cup cooked semolina wheat linguine)

When you check into the hotel and are on the same floor as the gym. 🩵🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Also PSA - found single packet protein powders at target for travel. Thought this was brilliant so TSA doesn’t bust me for having homemade single dosed ziplock bags of white powder in my carryon 😂 But the packets spill easy so suddenly I had white powder all over my jeans and airplane seat. Oops 😅 They taste good though and did the trick!

Hi! This is a little long but I wanted to post to:
1. Share my home gym that I am very lucky to have (my dad found the treadmill in someone’s trash)!! It’s new so I can’t wait to continue to grow it 🥰
2. I’m feeling compelled to share what I’ve been going thru lately because maybe someone can relate!!!
In May I was having upper back/shoulder/neck pain that seemed to be caused by the temporary bed I had to sleep in. I couldn’t pinpoint what exactly was wrong and so for months when I thought it was getting better I would try to do my get salty sessions and lift weights and then it would be worse so I would have to take a break and I was stuck in this cycle. Luckily, yoga actually helped the pain so I was able to stay active but essentially was doing no weight training. It wasn’t until August that I finally decided to a see a chiropractor and found out I had a pinched nerve in my back. So that took about a month to fix and then slowly get back into my old workout routine (wasn’t successfully able to do this until September/October). By that time I was having some hormonal issues - irregular cycle, increased anxiety and depression. I then saw a PCP to make sure everything was ok (it was). Now that I’m back to my get salty workouts and lifting heavy I have made such a 180. Jenny talking about how important it is for us to lift heavy and just show up is SO TRUE. I don’t have much other explanation for how I feel so much better (but I did start therapy too 😉). Hope everyone has a salty weekend!! 🧂

My family taught me that when you truly want something….be extremely passive aggressive about it! 💃
SPEAKING GRATITUDE INTO THE WORLD:
I received a message today from one of my 3+ year athletes. Dr. Kathleen Hosmer is an amazing woman and her words hit me hard today. I’ve been so elated and full of joy since her message of appreciation. But the part that hit me hardest was that she was thankful that I decided to continue coaching through Get Salty. God truly knows my struggles in the first 2.5 years with this app. Working 2 jobs, putting so much time into this app, guilt from taking time from my family to work on a business that wasn’t providing an income that reflected that sacrifice. I re-upped my 2nd year contract and the next day called my developer to beg them to let me get out of it. The regret was incredible, how could I go on like this burning a candle at both ends for a dream that I wasn’t sure anyone else believed in but me: virtual training in a style of a functional personal trainer that can actually help heal others and create new relationships with their fitness. God apparently had a bigger view of my future. I was locked in to a contract, so I was locked in to delivering the best training possible. Eventually, by listening to my ride or dies, I responded with the Grind 2024 last January. Since then I’ve found my purpose, my style, my clientele: badass athletes and potential athletes that want to actually become healthier and stronger, that want more out of working out…they want to actually grind and adapt.
Thank you to every single athlete that has supported me in the past and thank you to the newer athletes for taking a chance on me, investing your money, you time, your attention, and your future health and longevity on me.
I promise, I will not let you down. Please, whatever you do this year, don’t quit on YOU. We are in this together.
Stay salty and keep grinding. 🧂🩷💪🏽

Bang bang salmon bite bowl is what’s for dinner tonight. 10/10 recommend!😋we do a lot of bowls in our house. I feel like it’s the easiest way to get in the variety of veggies and fiber sources for our gut health.
