Havenā€™t been motivated to work out - learning that physical pain is not my issue. I can press through that and modify however I need. Emotional pain/sadness/stress is when my motivation disappears. Logically I know working out is going to help, but to get to the mat is hurdle that seems so high. I had a short window of time today, and in my street sneakers, atheliesure leggings and a sweater, I just came out here and started. If I had taken the time to consider changing into real workout gear, I would have talked myself out of it - because that just seemed hard. Halfway through I changed into a tank top because already I was mentally feeling the positive effects. I had to modify in some areas due to my ankle and knee, but both actually feel better now, especially after foam rolling. Sometimes just pushing through the lack of motivation is all you need to rediscover it. My attitude, my mood, my day - just so much better!

Love hate relationship with yoga flow, but every time I do it, I recognize how much I need it. I will come back to this one on repeat. Absolutely loved all of it and look forward to the areas where I can see progress. Thank you for this!šŸ©µ

I needed this in every possible way - especially your talk about giving ourselves grace in those seasons where we might not be hitting our training or nutrition goals. Last few weeks have been emotionally and physically draining - coming from from a week at my parents while my dad was in the hospital to a dying furbaby, who I lost on Thursday. I have wrestled with feelings of guilt for not getting my workouts in or hitting my protein goals, and manā€¦. Big picture, I was there for what mattered most and gave my body and mind the rest it needed to recover from the roller coaster. Also had scans last week, but in Godā€™s infinite kindness, found out today they are clear and I get to push back scans to every six months. Just a sweet hug from the Savior who I celebrate every day and a reminder that he is ALWAYS good no matter how difficult the circumstances are. I will get on here every day I can this week. I have missed the Salty community! šŸ«¶šŸ»

Booty is lit!šŸ”„ At my parents community gym and a 1% couple was in here gettin after it. Amazing how other strong and intense athletes motivate others. I wanted to work hard not just for me but also for them so we could all nod at each knowing we are in a unique club of total badasses! They finished their strength session with about ten minutes of hill work, so guess where Iā€™m headedā€¦ yep! The treadmill at a high incline šŸ˜¤šŸ˜¤

Man o man o MAN!!! I canā€™t even begin to tell you how much I needed this session today! Best laid plans got derailed after my dad had an accident that landed him in the hospital. Last several days have been juggling work, advocating for him and taking care of my mom at home, and my body just needed weights and intense movement today! Literally feel restored and rejuvenated after this!! I was that person who said HAIL NO to the flying cheetahs and then found myself doing them! Thank you for always reminding us that we can do far more than we think we can! šŸ’

Had planned to do this workout the day after Thanksgiving but rolled my ankle instead. Ice and light walking and today, I was able to get this done with a few modifications. I truly believe all the strength and athletic training we have been doing helped me fall gracefully instead of completely turning my ankle and breaking it. Definitely a fruit of all this labor!

What a phenomenal way to end the Beast Mode Series! That might have been my favorite HIIT of the whole series, and this final week was hands down the best week! Love how I am feeling with the strength building and am going to continue it until we hit the grind in 2025. With the holiday season, Iā€™m going to work to get in three total body strength sessions (non-negotiable) and two HIIT sessions each week. Looking forward to continued strength gains and will pop in here to grab my HIIT sessions and check out the salty seven options! Hope all of you have a fantastic Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Years!
