Sidelined today after my dip in the pool yesterday turned into a more dramatic event than anticipated. My 80lb puppy in his excitement to run around the pool cut a corner at full speed and landed on my foot. He then proceeded to tumble into the pool and start swimming. Since he’s a retriever who actually doesn’t like to swim, this was big. Fortunately I was able to hobble to my phone to document the momentous occasion, but pretty sure he broke every blood vessel on top of my foot. Trying to stay off of it as much as possible today in the hopes the swelling will be down by tomorrow and I can start back up. The risks we take to have big dogs! 🙄

I hit 40lbs too and was fired up about it! Heaviest DB I have is 25 so I had to get creative with holding multiple weights but went up in 5lb increments each set. Felt good to tax the back like that!!

Couldn’t resist since its “back” day, so ended up doing the strength followed by the cardio. Didn’t go super intense on the cardio, just enough to pour sweat down to my neck and beyond. Actually helped to loosen up my tender leg muscles too! Didn’t have a band that worked for the Y raises so subbed in some ab wheel rollouts for those. I am dripping and headed to the pool to cool off! Great Tuesday!
