Functional fitness! Digging out a garden bed and my hubby did not do all the work. I love being able to do this together instead of idly sitting there and watching. 💪🏻 And I put the garden box together by myself. Feeling empowered today.
I've been absent for the past few days. My son was hospitalized Tuesday and we came home Thursday. It was stressful and sleeping in the hospital doesn't really happen, so I am still exhausted. I haven't worked out since Monday and feel off. My energy is low but I plan to get a light lifting session in today. I'm ready to get back to our normal routine. And thank you, Jesus, my son is feeling good! 🫶
I did week 2 leg day of the grind today. Holy 😵💫I remember how much it sucked the first time around and it sucked just as much today. My legs were shaking so bad. There is no way I will be able to walk the next two days. 😂
Today was a rough day. We had to say goodbye to our sweet kitty, Oliver. I knew i needed to move because of my emotions and needed some endorphins. A walk was not going to cut it. I went to Jenny’s insta and found this awesome quad shredder. I did an emom, 12 sets each and rested for the remainder, after my 12 were done. I did it five times. Holy 🔥 I kicked my own ass and it was just what I needed 🫶I hope my explanation of the workout made sense 🤣
I can't make the live session tonight so I did the “Little Extra” workout. I love when Jenny talks about introducing Little Extra and the one person clapping. I love you, Jenny, 🤣
After a long 2.5 weeks off - so crazy busy with a school program I taught and my boy's sports schedules I worked out twice. I was exhausted and drained. This week I couldn't work out bc our workout equipment is in our garage, and our air quality in the Great Lakes region has been dangerously high bc of the fires in Canada. I tried working out one day, and halfway through got a horrible headache. So, today even though it's humid, I am back at it! Sometimes you take a longer break than you'd like, but that’s life 😊
For the last ten weeks, I've been training for a 10 K. Well, for the last three weeks, my knee has been giving me trouble. The old me, the too “tough me,” would have run the 10k and said screw it. The older, wiser me says, run the 5k. So, this morning that’s what I'm doing. I want to be able to do the Beach Body workouts without pain! Here’s to growing better and wiser with age ❤️
I did a workout last week- can't remember which one- an older one- but Jenny mentioned jump roping bc it was in the workout. So, today bc I'm short on time decided to jump rope in one-minute intervals w/ 15-second rest. Holy s***, that’s a workout! 🤣 Thanks for the inspiration, Jenny!
