Need recommendations! We are leaving for Costa Rica in a week and I won’t be able to keep up with The Grind series but want to continue my fitness. Does anybody have favorites they like that require no equipment/booty band/resistance band?
Couple of firsts for me in this series. I went two days without a whole lot of movement - just life circumstances got in the way. The revelation - going two days without a lot of movement makes me downright bitchy. Also realized on my walk today my self talk was completely in the sewer - bad mom, bad wife, bad dog owner, bad everything. Mid-way through the walk I finally caught myself and realized none of what I was telling myself was true. The application: I won’t miss two days again if at all possible. Second first - after realizing how my body responded to the lack of movement, I committed to coming out to my porch after dinner and getting in the back session, with no other thoughts than it is what I need. My family was fine without me, and I am in a much better headspace. Thanks for your words of wisdom, Jenny Fisher and your new puppy is absolutely adorable!!

UPDATE ON LATTE
- She is being treated for muscle tremors with anti seizure meds ATM. She is able to squat to pee, she has stopped hopping and is very mobile. Too mobile at times LOL - however, she is a puppy still -so I have missed her mobility so so very much!! We are awaiting immuno assays to come back to rule out some other possibilities like viruses - which I am not sure I like that very much. We are activiely pursuing the Lord and believing Him for healing our little baby (who I actually nickname “Little”)
- In other news, We are using a food trial for her brother, Choco (like Choco-Latte) … he has had acne under his chin since Nov and things we have tried are not working. It isn’t irritated currently, which is a good sign that it is working. Prayers for healing him as well.
- I am not sure how many people on here are Christian - however, my God says to keep knocking and asking in His name (Jesus) and He will be faithful to answer!
- AND; sorry, a lot to update - I haven’t been active on here in a couple weeks. I injured my wrist - Latte actually tripped me on a walk and I fell hands down in a dog position LOL - I had forgotten that it happened actually, but my wrist was a reminder to take it easy and maybe NOT be so hard on myself (Thank you, Jenn-A) - I had a Dr appt and he put me on steroids to help reduce swelling. It has helped, but it still hurts to put a lot of weight on it. HOWEVER - I have modified UP by dong pushups or whatever Jenny calls for to be on my hands to my knuckles. My Dr says that doing it that way is actually helpful and can strengthen my wrist while it heals - So that is pretty cool indeed!!!!
- I am starting week 3 over again and working from there since that is where I left off.

Shop gym is really coming together! I asked for a TV for Christmas just to cast Jenny up on the wall…hubby got me a 55”😍.
Now to paint the wood walls & floors…I’m thinking black?! Then I’ll hang pics & more fun stuff.
Thinking a 25 minute core wouldn’t be too bad after I went to a HIIT class earlier with my daughter. Proof that poor judgment still happens after 50+ years old. I’m gonna feel all of yesterday and today in full blown 3D color tomorrow! But the thought of missing even a mini session this week and getting out of my groove kept me motivated to push through it. Also cooling down and stretching was fabulous. I forgot most classes don’t take time to do that. Had to sub a few exercises with ones that were kinder to my back. It is fatigued today! Great Thursday session!!

Got up this morning worked out was great did the back session from week 4. Went to take a shower got lightheaded. Tried to continue to move to see if I could shake it off definitely not pretty sure I have virtego. Sucks hoping this doesn’t last long but healthy is important. I have been getting up earlier yesterday and today. I think I just wasn’t well rest maybe. Have an appointment with my doctor to hopefully get some for this 🤷♀️ if they can do anything for this or not. Definitely sucks!
Feeling myself after that day 1 week 5 sesh! Embracing the suck to the fullest! Increased my bench press by 10 pounds today. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
