Getting salty this Friday from Dallas TX! Back sessions are always my absolute favorite and today was absolute 🔥 Back felt good and knee remarkably started feeling better after the chest workout on Wednesday (scratching my head on that one…). Will try and get the HIIT in tomorrow and start back on legs on Monday. Have a great weekend, and thank you Jenny Fisher for the encouragement about anabolic training. It’s a good reminder, especially at my age, to focus on quality longevity instead of what a stupid scale says. 🩵

Deidra Stansbury I love it all but there is something about lifting that hits differently!

I am feeling my age this week: a bad back acting up and for the first time ever, a bum knee. Literally no idea what I did, but had to wear a brace this morning to walk the dogs. I opted to hold off on legs and do the chest and triceps workout from this morning. Lateral movement is fine but forward movement is what is limiting. Hoping my chiro can help tomorrow and I’ll be back on track. The chest and tri workout has left me with jello arms and a smile on my face! Damn I love lifting!

Ouch!

Agree!

I don’t know how you will be able to lift anything over your head for any length of time! I’m just grateful I don’t have to dry my hair this evening!

Sweet girl! Praying for you as you navigate all these waters and trying to hold your head above water. Praying that God will help you carve out time to simply rest in him and allow him to fill you back up, and that he would make dedicated time in your day to release the physical stress caretaking has on our bodies. This may be a season where your training sessions look a bit different from a length and quantity standpoint. Trust that it is just a season and allow your body to adapt to what you can give it instead of being discouraged that you aren’t training the way you used to. Jeremiah 17:7–8 are great verses of hope as you trust in God to bring you through this season. 🩵

Enjoy your vacay!! Love that you are still getting salty! 🧂🤩
