Chest and shoulders now match my legs. So much so I forgot how sore my legs are for 45 minutes—at least until I hit the inchworms and actually had to use them to get myself down and then somehow get myself up. Primal woud not be the word I would use to describe mine. More like slo-mo… I have never been a big fan of chest days, but with GetSalty, I have truly grown to love them and look forward chest days!

I forgot to hit send on my leg session comment yesterday which is why it posted today. Today, I just needed a really long walk. Took to the preservation park near my folks’ house to get some hill work in. At mile 4, I found some stairs and ran up and down them ten times. Finished 4.5 miles with the determination to run up the massive hill that leads into the park. It was my fourth time up it, I put on a really good song and somehow managed to make it all the way to the top without puking or stopping. I probably looked more like a sloth climbing a tree, but I got to the top. I also remembered why I hate running… This afternoon I opted to do the 15 minute mobility to work out some of the stiffness. Great session I will do on repeat!

Kristen, this is the first time I truly did the muscle build path the whole way through the series. I loved it, and while I have added more lean muscle, I have not gained weight to my knowledge (I don’t weigh but my clothes all fit great), and I also just sometimes look at myself, and think, “Damn! I got it going on!” I still love hiit and get plenty of cardio in, but dedicating these sessions to strictly building has been a game changer for me!

Holy Jello Legs! What a way to smoke them in week 8 Jenny Fisher! Walking back to my parent’s home was almost a challenge. That was AWESOME! I’m probably going to be dying a little tomorrow every time I pee, but totally worth it. I was right there with you on the sweat factor! I kept dripping sweat on the mat when I was wiping it down afterwards. Great start to this final week of MVP, and quite possibly my very favorite series to date! 🧂🩵

Headed to my parents today and after four hours in a car, the cardio session from yesterday was exactly what I needed to loosen up my tight back, butt, and legs. Walked for 15 minutes before and about 25 or so minutes afterward and am thoroughly enjoying the sweat today! Loved the conversation about plateaus and the importance of protein. This series, I have been dedicated to hitting at least 100 grams of protein daily, along with fiber at every meal. It is my one non-negotiable and it has been a game changer. My energy level, my satiation during the day and evening, and holy smokes my skin and hair quality!! This works so well for me. Strictly counting macros/calories tends to take me down a rabbit hole where I lived for too long a long time ago, but focusing on protein and fiber and consistently getting movement in - life giving and super sustainable long-term. I’m not really focusing on weight right now: building muscle feels amazing and my clothes still fit - maybe even better. This series has just been so enlightening in so many ways. Hope all of you are finding new ways to improve your health journey. It is definitely a lifelong endeavor!

Jenny Fisher we have a great coach! 🫶🏻😊
