Shoulders were a bit sore after doing the leg session yesterday so I opted for the 24 minute cardio from last week and will do the chest session tomorrow. What I love about this series: we can put these workouts into our schedules as they fit. That and they have definitely been my sanity preserver these past few weeks! On a funny note, Jenny Fisher talking about bladder control during the jump rope exercise, and I’m laughing and high kneeing and literally sort of peed myself…. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Girl, your influence knows no bounds!😂

Long day at work, long walk with the dogs, dinner and a visit with my folks. 8:00 and all the sudden it was me in the den and just thought I would see what the leg session from Saturday looked like. When my salty Texan, Marissa Ragland stepped onto the screen, I knew I had to two-step it out to my porch to get salty with this fabulous duo! I’m kind of digging these later night workouts. Beats the heck out of scrolling through instagram or watching another basketball game! Thanks for the motivation, girls! 😘🤠

Couple of firsts for me in this series. I went two days without a whole lot of movement - just life circumstances got in the way. The revelation - going two days without a lot of movement makes me downright bitchy. Also realized on my walk today my self talk was completely in the sewer - bad mom, bad wife, bad dog owner, bad everything. Mid-way through the walk I finally caught myself and realized none of what I was telling myself was true. The application: I won’t miss two days again if at all possible. Second first - after realizing how my body responded to the lack of movement, I committed to coming out to my porch after dinner and getting in the back session, with no other thoughts than it is what I need. My family was fine without me, and I am in a much better headspace. Thanks for your words of wisdom, Jenny Fisher and your new puppy is absolutely adorable!!

I’m going to have to put leg day off until tomorrow. Body needs a rest and on top of that we celebrated our daughter’s 26th bday last night and I ended up going out with the kids (designated driver) and had an absolute blast singing and dancing at a piano bar and cigar lounge. This old gal isn’t used to going to bed at 1:00 and today I am just piddling around the house and reading a new book! Perfect rest day!

Christine Bush Roman I felt the exact same way about yoga until I started doing Jenny’s sessions. I’ll admit the first few were rough but the more consistent I am with them, the more I realize how beneficial, and fun, they are. This particular one was really enjoyable and moved super quickly!

Yogaish flow was something I didn’t want to do today but knew I needed to do it. Man is my body grateful for that investment to do the important and necessary things to nurture our bodies! Nameste! Have a great weekend everyone!
