Holy Snike is the appropriate name for Friday’s session! Wow! Hot and salty, heart rate got up there! Wasn’t sure if I was going to like this session but ended up favoriting it. Great way to head into the holiday weekend and a week off! Enjoy your three day weekend everyone! 🧂

Opted for the back and core weekend bonus session, and honestly, one of my very favorite sessions of all time. I love back and core, and this one met me in all the right ways! Love training with you, Jenny. You just always bring what I need to the mat! Praying for all of you who are in the Idalia path. Stay safe and keep us updated. 🙏🏻💗

Here I was coming outside to do Wednesday’s session because I thought you pre-recorded it for some reason…..

Just stick with it and definitely put more of a priority on mobility and rest days. My forties was a decade where I felt great so I hit it hard all the time. I lacked the discipline to make mobility and rest days a priority. Wasn’t until I injured my back that took two years to rehab that I finally understood the critical importance those two elements play in our health journey. Overtraining and muscle imbalances were the primary reason I injured it. At 58 I really focus on the things I can do well instead of wishing I could still do something of the things I loved doing, and if a body part is talking to me, I listen and give it rest or stretching or lower weight or reps.

Opted for the EMOM Cardio slated for Thursday today. Just needed some good sweaty cardio after working on budget considerations for 2024 all morning (I HATE numbers….). Just what I needed. Feeling salty and loose after sitting most of the day. Marks of progress are always interesting to me. I remember the last time I did this workout, my lungs were still adjusting from my surgery in early March, and every time I would take a deep breath in, I would end up in a coughing fit (natural process of recovery). Today, I took every deep breath and exhaled without coughing once. That is my very best measure of progress today! Stay salty, athletes, and always remember how much you inspire this salty athlete! 🧂💕
