Christine Bush Romanย It cut me off on the length...so here's a few more tidbits...

All the plates are 1 inch so both of these sets are compatible with each other.ย  The collars that lock the plates in place are not compatible for some reason but each set has its own, so no worries there.ย ย

They are solid, sturdy, well made sets so I feel good about this purchase lasting for years to come and will hopefully be my last dumbbell/weight purchase for my home use.ย ย

I also bought this pad for when I do hip thrusts and it seems to work well and it didn't cost much.ย ย https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZY5VMDK?ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Happy to answer any other questions you have about these products or a few others I researched on Amazon and at Academy and ultimately passed on due to concerns they were lesser quality.ย ย

Keep on getting salty my sister!

Christine Bush Romanย Here's the link to the dumbbell set and the rack I bought on Amazon.ย  I only got the rack because I bought both a barbell (below) and dumbbell set and didn't want to just have piles of plates on the floor.ย  Also I only paid $28 for the rack 2 weeks ago, so the price has jumped. ย https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/988T3FVW57UJ?ref_=wl_share

Here's the link to the barbell/dumbbell set I bought at Academy Sports.ย  Quick note--it says 110 lbs, but it's really only 92 lbs total.ย  The plates total 80 lbs and I weighed the bar and it was 12 lbs. $150 for this set and it comes with both a 5 ft barbell and 2 dumbbell handles. It is 1 inch in diameter so definitely smaller and lighter than your traditional Olympic style bar, but this makes it easier to maneuver and store in a smaller space as I've stated. Also the bar can hold up to 150 lbs so I can load up with plates from my other set.ย  ย https://www.academy.com/p/cap-barbell-110-lb-regular-grip-barbell-weight-set

Just did the week 5 leg day with my heavier weights and loved it! I really like my new set that I got. Only downside is that the plates are all smaller so there isn't the clearance under them when doing hip thrusts or starting deadlifts. I think I can maneuver using my aerobic steps to rest it on but I'm still working on it. No matter what I can go much heavier now with the barbell or the dumbbells. And it doesn't take up much space. Happy to share the info with anyone interested.

My new barbell set that fits in my space and my husband only had a minor freakout about before going with me to get it. I'm excited how I will be able to up my game on some deadlifts and hip thrusts, especially when the matching dumbbell set shows up with additional plates. Shhhh....he doesn't know about that yet ๐Ÿ˜‰ it was way cheaper to go this way than buying individual dumbbells at this point. I'm willing to adjust to fit in the space and save some money, and have it all for the rest of this challenge. Keep grinding everyone! ๐Ÿ˜

They were just fatigued rather than hurting during the planks in the warmup. It could be the decreased calories this month too. Just had less pep even after eating 2 good meals prior to training. I've been doing a "dryish" January and mostly eating at home which means healthy meals, less sweets, and less snacking. Really trying to tune into intuitive eating for me. So I'm not eating if I'm not hungry, but it has definitely left me in a calorie deficit, which is good after the extended holidays. I've got some extra fluff that's ok, but I'm not that attached to it ๐Ÿ˜†

Did W2 leg day yesterday and while my quads were on fire during the session, today it's my hammies that are sore. Slowed me down some on the burpees today, besides the fact that I just felt slow and my shoulders were just not in it today (even before the AMRAPs, they were trying to tap out in the warmup ๐Ÿฅต, seriously ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜ฌ). Hope y'all's experience went or goes a little better than mine.

I love my Garmin! The heart rate tracker can still be off sometimes but I still like it for all the data and GPS info that I get.

These are all amazing ๐Ÿ˜ I have a small bedroom on the 2nd floor so I have to be cautious with the weights and jumping. It works since it's still a dedicated space but box jumps aren't allowed...my husband is afraid I'm going to crack the ceiling below the room ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜ฌ
